J. David Andress is a native of Montgomery, Alabama. He earned a B.S. in Microbiology and a B.A. in History from Louisiana State University and graduated from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in 2002.

Mr. Andress concentrates his practice in the areas of personal and business bankruptcy, representing clients in cases under chapters 7, 11, and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code, personal injury, and consumer issues. Mr. Andress has represented clients in all Louisiana federal courts and in most city, parish, and state courts in south Louisiana. He has also assisted individuals on a pro bono basis in the areas of bankruptcy, corporate formation, successions, wills, family law, and landlord/tenant issues.

Mr. Andress is licensed by the Supreme Court of the State of Louisiana and is admitted to practice before the Eastern, Middle, and Western Federal District Courts for the State of Louisiana, as well as the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. His professional associations include: the Louisiana Bar Association, the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Bankruptcy Sections of both the Baton Rouge and Louisiana Bar Associations, the Thomas More Law Center, and the Federalist Society.
