In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Grand Law Firm has partnered with the Iris Domestic Violence Center to help raise funds to renovate their 24 hour safe house.
Iris offers many different services to Baton Rouge area domestic violence victims, one of those services is a 24 hour safe house. The safe house provides housing for about 15 families at any given time. Not only does this house provides a safe location for victims of abuse, but it also provides a secure location for counseling and an understanding community. Iris also offers job training and financial planning seminars for abuse victims.
Unfortunately the safe house is in desperate need of repairs!
Our goal is to raise enough money to help Iris repair their leaky roof and as anyone who has ever had to replace their roof knows, IT IS NOT CHEAP!
